  19. If you are talking about digitizing directly using the SCSI bus, your 
  20. CD-ROM drive must support that and I think only a couple of models of 
  21. SONY and Toshyba will.  There are some utilities on Aminet (cdda112.lha 
  22. and SCSIUtil.lha come to mind, both are in disk/cdrom) that can take raw 
  23. CD data and store them as IFF sound files.

  25. If your drive doesn't support that, then you will need an audio digitizer 
  26. for the Amiga.

  28. If your CD drive has an earphone jack on the front like my NEC does, 
  29. just buy (or make) a cable to convert the mini-phono jack to RCA 
  30. plugs (which is what most audio digitizers use for input) and sample that 
  31. way.

  33. If you don't have an earphone jack then you will have to make a cable 
  34. that uses the audio out from the back of the CD-ROM (where it plugs into 
  35. an IBM soundcard).  I don't know what levels are on this connection so I 
  36. don't know if its at speaker/earphone levels or line-out levels.
